How SpeedRun EA Works

Mechanism: SpeedRun trades EURUSD on H1 using a grid-recovery system anchored to the SPS channel indicator (period 50). When price moves against an open position beyond the grid distance (500 points default), the EA opens additional orders with a 2.2× lot multiplier, betting on mean-reversion back through the basket’s break-even level. Profit is taken when the full basket closes above break-even — not on individual trades.

Signal Trigger: Primary entry requires DR indicator confirmation at level 20 with candle-open timing (no mid-candle entries). Optional secondary filters — Stochastic (H1 and H4), Fractal, and RBX indicators — are available but disabled in the default H1 EURUSD configuration.

Position Close: Basket closes when cumulative floating profit exceeds break-even by the TP destination margin (default -10 points, meaning close just below TP). Fixed TP is off by default; the algorithm uses aggressive TP mode. “Do not close at a loss” is enabled — the EA will not force-close a losing basket, allowing drawdown to accumulate until reversion occurs or the DD block triggers.

Exposure Limits: The DD block (disabled by default) sets a maximum drawdown percentage at which the EA halts and closes all positions. Grid distinction (500 points) controls spacing between basket orders. Lot scaling is set at 0.37 per $1,000 deposit, auto-adjusting with account equity when configured. Without the DD block active, exposure is theoretically uncapped into a sustained trend.
